plantain, planatain, I need you again- I busted up my knuckle workin on my truck plantain, plantain, my skin got burned again- I grabbed the hot handle and I said... what's goin on? did you forget about nature? I'll bet if you had to pay for her services you'd use them. I choose them not because they're free, but cuz they came to be - I can`t ignore a helpin hand that grows at my feet. plaintain, plantain, yo, no, not the bannana strain- I`m talkin real canadian ditch medicine brothers and sisters plantain, plantain, to the rescue again it heals cuts and scrapes, abrasions, lacerations and blisters just grab a leaf and pop it in your mouth and chew it up into a little green wad- then take it out and stick it on the afflicted area. it`s gonna heal you, it`s gonna heal you that`s your sweet mother nature takin care of ya if you ever pulled a carrot from the ground and gobbled it down you know why - it`s better fresh picked than fresh pulled off a shelf. but what does fresh mean? -it is the quality of connection between one little peice of nature and nature itself. that connection can be strong, or it can be long gone - like when your doctor's got ya smellin plastic flowers. there's some powerful shit man growin right in the ditch man! a fresh medicine buffet - I'm wounded where's the plantain?

how much grief is there in a pound of beef? well it depends if you believe that the earth deserves to breathe...see, to the earth each tree is a lung and we've been cuttin down the jungle in the amazon about a million trees a day. because my fovourite food needs a place to graze. hungry dudes with big bulldozers, tippin jungles over, don't get in the way of my cow! or my bulldozer gonna take you out. I'd don't care who's mamma you are! I need beef for my belly and oil for my car. acre after acre, tonight we're havin steak for dinner...

there was a boy and he was tired but content to be a symbol, what else is there really? what else is there? terrible lies we tell we sold our own adventure to ourselves terrible lies we tell we stole our own intentions from ourselves I think I know what it is I do that keeps me here inside of you my dear terrible lies we tell we told our own reflections to hold still terrible lies we tell we've sown our old inventions to our selves but the beautiful string that fell the knot was just too simple for itself itself itself.

in 1943, there was a forest around me. was a marajuana forest, an american marajuana forest – and the government paid me to put it in the ground – the government paid me to put it in the ground how’s that sound for ya? a check for gettin things done – y’know there aint no shortage of solutions. and there never has been, but there was some bad men, with nothin better to do than put up a few billboards, of naked chicks, to take your mind off the tasty tit of your sweet mother nature. in case you’re wonderin – she never stopped carin for ya – you just learned so well to ignore her. like a dog learns to forsake his bone – in favour of a flavoured plastic clone – PETROLEUM, for everyone – it’s just like hemp plus it kills your mom, but who needs a mom anyway? all we need is 10 billion barrels a day. it’s 1943, the war’s ragin, we got a fuel shortage see – please grow marajuana for a couple years. we need to harvest the fields for the turnin of gears. we know how to get it all from this most powerful crop, but the profits in plastic are such that we’ll stop – gotta take care of #1 first. apparently that aint the earth. I heard it was do da da do da da do da dupont – do da da do da da do da dupont – if they didn’t write the bible then they must’ve chose the font, cuz they’ve got the salvation that everyone wants – ok, maybe not wants, but at least what they need, even if only YES only cuz the powerful seeds of your sweet, mother, nature, have been outlawed – like robin hood – hanging with gangsters, deep in the woods. How could we forsake what our good planet gave? -and then stab her in the deep black dinosaur grave? you know everything we make out of crude oil, we can make just as well with a few seeds and some soil – yes plastic, yes fabric, yes fuel, and yes food, it’s time to TRADE IN ALL YOUR MARGARINE FOR HEMPSEED OIL DUDE! cuz this robin hood is tellin the truth – and her pardon is long overdue…..
